Middleweight Interior Designer for highly anticipated hospitality projects within the UK and internationally.

A well-known hospitality group is expanding its in-house design team in London as they enter a phase of significant growth, with a thriving project pipeline spanning multiple countries.

This is an exciting opportunity to engage in iconic and highly imaginative projects, where you'll be involved from the initial concept all the way through to project completion.

The ideal candidate should have a portfolio showcasing their experience in designing for restaurants, bars, hotels, F&B, or creative spaces. They should be skilled in developing concepts through hand-sketching, visuals, and creating detailed design documentation. This role is perfect for someone with excellent communication skills who enjoys working in a vibrant and sociable environment, and is capable of managing multiple projects and traveling outside the UK as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the Senior designer on various projects from inception to completion, including space planning and the creation of a comprehensive technical drawing package, which includes joinery, furniture, and construction detailing.
  • Assist in delivering a strong design concept and creative vision through sketches and visualisation
  • Stay updated on current style trends within the design industry
  • Foster effective communication with the design team, contractors, in-house construction, and operations teams
  • Participate in regular site visits to monitor project progress
  • Possess a solid knowledge and understanding of finishes and materials
  • Maintain open lines of communication and collaboration with the FF&E team
  • Assist with the delivery and installation on site from snagging to styling
Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field
  • Currently maintain the Right to Work (RTW) in the UK
  • Experience in working across all design phases within hospitality, F&B, or retail projects
  • High level of proficiency in AutoCAD. Good knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe CS
  • Strong sense of colour and materials
  • Effective under pressure and capable of meeting deadlines
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team
  • Pragmatic with strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates good initiative while also having the ability to follow instructions
