COAT
COAT is a UK-based, design-led paint brand built on a simple belief - that quality and conscience shouldn't be mutually exclusive. The company is known for its curated, muted colour palette and high-grade, water-based finishes - including a zero-VOC Claypaint made with British clay and limestone. Every tin is made freshly to order in London, with no waste or overproduction. Sustainability is at the core of the COAT business, as the world's first Climate Positive paint company and a certified B Corp.
Developed as part of the renovation of Stacey Dooley's family home, this project explores the relationship between colour, memory and the spaces we inhabit every day. Working closely with COAT, Dooley developed a considered palette of six bespoke paint colours, each inspired by personal stories, meaningful places and the emotional qualities she wanted her home to embody. Rather than following seasonal trends, the collection was rooted in the idea of creating a home with longevity, one that feels lived in, personal and deeply connected to the people within it.

The resulting collection demonstrates how colour can become a powerful storytelling tool, translating individual experiences into a palette with wider appeal. What began as a highly personal design brief evolved into a limited-edition range that resonated with homeowners looking to create spaces with warmth, character and authenticity. The project reflects a broader shift towards interiors that value emotional connection and considered design over fleeting aesthetics, highlighting the role collaboration can play in bringing a distinctive creative vision to life.
