About the position
Folio is looking for an Interior Design & Architecture Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team, specialising in the placement of talent across London's design and architecture industry.
This is an opportunity for someone with a background in interior design, interior architecture or architecture who enjoys building relationships, understands the industry and is looking for a new challenge within a commercial, people-focused environment.
No previous recruitment experience is required. We're looking for someone with industry knowledge, strong communication skills and the ambition to build a successful career in recruitment. In return, we'll provide the training, support and platform to help you succeed.
You will inherit an established desk with existing client relationships, active vacancies and a strong network of candidates, allowing you to focus on developing meaningful partnerships and growing your market from day one.

We're seeking someone who is proactive, commercially minded and motivated by achieving results. Whilst relationships are at the heart of what we do, we're looking for an individual who enjoys identifying opportunities, developing business and building a successful desk within a specialist market.
Whilst the role offers flexibility, the successful candidate will be UK-based and able to attend client meetings, team gatherings and industry events as required.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from briefing through to placement and post-placement follow-up.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and candidates across the interior design and architecture sectors.
- Develop new business opportunities whilst expanding existing client relationships.
- Source, screen and interview candidates.
- Write candidate profiles, job advertisements and marketing content.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and recruitment processes.
- Support candidates throughout the interview process and provide career guidance.
- Build a strong presence within the design and architecture industry through networking and relationship building.
- Attend client meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.
- Collaborate with the wider team to support business growth and deliver an exceptional service.
About the candidate

- Previous recruitment experience is advantageous, but not essential.
- Alternatively, experience within interior design, interior architecture, architecture or the wider built environment sector.
- Commercially minded and motivated by achieving results.
- Confident building relationships and developing business opportunities.
- Ambitious, proactive and self-driven.
- Organised, professional and able to work independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine interest in people, careers and the design industry.
