This globally acclaimed studio is delivering a landmark 5-star hotel project and seeks an experienced technician to help bring bold, lifestyle-led interiors to life.
This position is for a Interior Technician (Freelance) for a 3-month contract, working on a high-profile 5-star hotel project based in the U.S. The role focuses on RIBA Stage 4, technical drawing development, and on-site coordination. Key responsibilities include delivering detailed joinery and construction packages, preparing mock-up room drawings, and ensuring seamless communication with contractors. The technician will also be expected to make informed, design-led suggestions, such as improving the functionality of bespoke elements, while working closely with the wider team to ensure design intent is upheld throughout delivery.
This position offers an immediate start and runs until September, with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent placement based on candidate fit and interest.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience as an Interior Technician or Interior Architect, ideally within the luxury hospitality sector. A strong portfolio demonstrating detailed technical packages for high-end hotels is essential. The candidate should be confident working in AutoCAD, with a thorough understanding of RIBA Stage 4 and site coordination. They must demonstrate an ability to bridge conceptual design with detailed execution, taking ownership of package development and contributing proactive design enhancements. Strong communication, attention to detail, and self-management skills are key.
