the details

This studio designs widely published furniture pieces, works across international projects and takes an active role in leading luxury trade shows.

about the position

An interior studio is seeking a Midweight Furniture or Product Designer to join its team, working on loose furniture and bespoke product pieces across luxury interior projects.

This role is suited to a creative designer with strong 3D modelling skills and a clear interest in furniture and product development. You will be involved from early concept through to resolved design, working closely with senior designers and the interiors team to develop pieces that are visually strong, well considered and suitable for production.

The position offers hands-on involvement across a range of high-end projects, with the opportunity to see designs progress from idea through to fruition.

about the candidate

The ideal candidate will have a portfolio that highlights loose furniture and product design, including detailed upholstery pieces and lighting objects. Their work should demonstrate a layered approach to form and material choice, with an emphasis on richness and detail rather than minimalism.

They will be confident developing ideas through sketching, modelling and visualisation, with a strong sense of form and proportion. Comfortable designing individual pieces at pace, they will work with high-quality materials and develop designs that are fluid in shape and scale.

Strong 3D modelling skills are essential, supported by AutoCAD and Adobe CS for drawings and presentations. This role suits a designer who is concept-driven, visually focused and energised by a vibrant studio environment.

about the studio

This studio is home to one of the larger furniture departments within the industry, with a constantly active pipeline spanning a wide range of projects. The team is known for producing some of the most visually striking and desirable furniture pieces, with designers working at pace within a vibrant, energetic studio environment, supported by a considered benefits package that promotes wellbeing and work–life balance.
