This is an opportunity for an Arabic speaking mid weight - senior at a top global firm who believe employee wellbeing is as important as the spaces they design.
In this role as mid weight – senior you will join a well resourced team of 8 urban designers at varying levels and be responsible for leading research, analysis and early design work to explore pioneering, well executed and sustainable design programmes on an urban scale for a range of mixed use projects, nationally and internationally. You will prepare drawings through analogue and digital means and use iterative design tools to work through development and be able to communicate verbally and through imagery effectively and convincingly. Having the opportunity to use your communication and language skills you will lead client presentations, assist with public and stakeholder engagements, coordinate across in house disciplines and external consultant teams on project deliverables, and oversee the work of juniors in your team.
The successful candidate will have a qualification in urban design, landscape, architecture or relevant discipline and be currently operating at a mid weight or entry senior level. Experience working on large complex projects on a global scale with a focus on UAE is required, and ideally an interest or accreditation in sustainable design (WELL, LEED, Passivhaus). You will have demonstrable experience conducting site research, analysis, concept, planning and zoning and be skilled in both hand drawing and digital modelling/sketching. This firm require confidence across a range of software and programmes including Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape/V-Ray, ArcGIS and Adobe Creative Suite. Their upcoming pipeline is broadly based in the UAE and Arabic language skills with experience working professionally in the region are highly advantageous.
