about the position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Midweight Interior Designer to join a creative studio based in Hertfordshire, specialising in beautifully considered, high-end residential interiors. The role involves working closely with senior designers to support the design and delivery of multiple projects, from concept through to completion. Responsibilities will include preparing design intent packages, developing presentations and mood boards, assisting with FF&E design, furniture planning and procurement, and maintaining accurate project documentation. The position offers the chance to contribute to a diverse portfolio of luxury projects while developing your own design voice within a collaborative and inspiring environment.

about the candidate

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant interior design qualification and have a minimum of three years’ professional experience in the industry, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong creative ability and experience in the high-end residential sector. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Esti and Microsoft Office is essential, as is a sound understanding of FF&E procurement and technical design. Beyond technical skills, success in this role requires an exceptional eye for detail, the ability to interpret and deliver client briefs, and the confidence to contribute ideas within a team setting. Personally, you will be highly organised, conscientious and approachable, with a calm and adaptable nature and a genuine passion for design, craftsmanship and the creation of timeless interiors.

The team works collaboratively across an inspiring range of projects, each guided by the belief that great design should be both elegant and meaningful. Joining the studio means becoming part of a supportive, dynamic environment that values fresh ideas, professional growth and the shared pursuit of design excellence.
