Interior Designer / Interior Architect
About the position
This role is suited to a creative Interior Designer or Interior Architect with a strong conceptual approach and an exceptional eye for design. Working across luxury hospitality and bespoke projects, you will be involved from the earliest design stages, developing inspiring concepts through the thoughtful use of space, materials, finishes, FF&E and bespoke detailing.
Working closely with the wider team, you will contribute across multiple project stages, from concept design and client presentations through to early-stage technical development. You will confidently communicate ideas through hand sketches, interior layouts and elevations, collaborating with the wider team to bring innovative design concepts to life.
This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded designer at the beginning of their career who enjoys balancing creativity with technical understanding within a highly design-led environment. You will gain exposure to projects of the highest design quality, including large-scale luxury hospitality and private residential projects, while learning from an experienced and collaborative team.
About the candidate
The successful candidate will be a creative Interior Designer or Interior Architect at Junior to Middleweight level, with a strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and a refined eye for materials, finishes.
- 2–5 years' experience within a design-led interior design practice.
- Strong conceptual design skills with an exceptional eye for aesthetics, proportion and composition.
- Excellent understanding of materials, finishes, FF&E
- Confident developing interior concepts from initial sketches through to early-stage technical design.
- Strong hand-sketching ability, with the confidence to communicate ideas quickly and effectively.
- Good technical drawing skills, producing interior layouts, elevations and bespoke joinery details.
- Proficient in producing drawing packages using any recognised CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Vectorworks or similar).
- Experience preparing high-quality presentations, mood boards and material palettes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present ideas clearly to both colleagues and clients.
- Comfortable attending and contributing to key client meetings, building strong relationships and communicating design intent with confidence.
- Understanding of bespoke furniture, millwork and interior detailing is beneficial
- Hospitality design experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Collaborative, proactive and comfortable working across multiple project stages.
- Passionate about creating thoughtful, beautifully crafted interiors.
About the studio
Housed within a newly converted, light-filled studio, this close-knit team of around 10 designers works together in an open-plan environment centred around a large communal table that encourages collaboration and the sharing of ideas. With music quietly playing in the background and a genuine family feel, the studio has built a reputation for its welcoming culture and supportive team environment.
Designers are encouraged to contribute across all stages of the design process, with professional development supported through regular CPDs, workshops and industry events. Alongside exciting projects, the team enjoys regular lunches, social events and seasonal celebrations, creating a collaborative and inspiring environment in which to develop your career.
