Freelance Senior / Associate Interior Designer (9–12 Month Contract) to Run 4-Storey Residential Project in Clapham
This position is for an experienced Senior to Associate-level Interior Designer to lead the delivery of a high-end private residential project in Clapham. The property is a four-storey, five-bedroom townhouse, with the breif of a warm, contemporary aesthetic that blends moody sophistication, rich textures, and refined materiality.
The role will involve overseeing the project on site, delivering the full interior packages, and setting the overall look and feel through FF&E.
As the client does not have the time to manage the project directly, they are looking for a senior designer who can take ownership and manage it confidently from concept through to completion.
The freelance contract with 2 days per week in the studio.
The ideal candidate will bring at least 8 years’ experience, predomnately within in high-end residential interiors, with a strong track record of delivering projects independently from concept through to site completion. They will have excellent technical knowledge, experience managing contractors and consultants, and confidence leading meetings and resolving on-site challenges.
A strong eye for FF&E is essential, alongside strong organisational skills and attention to detail. This role suits someone proactive, composed under pressure, and comfortable working autonomously while maintaining high design standards.
TThis opportunity is with a boutique interior design studio based in North London, recognised for creating warm, contemporary interiors that celebrate craftsmanship, texture, and natural materials.
The freelance position offers the chance to take full project ownership, leading the design and delivery of one of the studio’s new residential projects. The Director will provide support and the tools needed to ensure success, along with a flexible working approach.
