Lead the design and delivery of thoughtful, beautifully detailed projects, mentoring junior designers and collaborating closely with clients and consultants.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Interior Architect or Senior Designer to take ownership of high-end residential projects in the UK and abroad. The role will involve supporting the design direction, mentoring junior members of the team and maintaining a professional approach with clients, suppliers and the wider design team. You’ll need a strong eye for detail, an ability to manage projects from concept through to completion and a solid understanding of budgets, programmes and deliverables across all RIBA stages. Experience preparing fee proposals would be beneficial but not essential.
Key responsibilities will include preparing client briefs and concept designs, spatial planning, leading schematic and design development stages, overseeing tender documentation and liaising closely with consultants, suppliers and contractors. You’ll present confidently to clients, attend site visits, review shop drawings and materials, and support the team in ensuring design quality and delivery standards are met.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within interior architecture or design, with a strong background in high-end residential, development or hospitality projects. You’ll be confident leading projects through all stages, from concept to installation, with excellent technical knowledge and strong organisational skills. A degree in Interior Architecture or Architecture is essential, along with proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe CS. Working knowledge of SketchUp, Rhino, Revit or 3D Studio Max would be an advantage. You should have on-site experience liaising with contractors and clients, a good understanding of UK building regulations and an appreciation for craftsmanship, detailing and materials.
