A London design studio is seeking a Midweight Interior Designer to work on high-end residential projects.
A well-established London design studio is seeking a talented and driven Midweight Residential Designer to join its team on a full-time basis in West London. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident all-rounder with a minimum of three years’ experience delivering high-end residential projects in London. Working closely with Senior Designers, you will play a key role in supporting projects from initial concept through to final installation, ensuring a consistently high level of design and technical excellence throughout.
The role involves contributing to concept development, space planning, furniture selection and FF&E design, alongside producing detailed and accurate technical drawing packages. You will attend site visits and internal meetings, liaise with clients, architects and contractors, and assist in managing programmes, identifying critical path items and long-lead elements. A strong understanding of tender documentation and procurement is essential, as you will oversee FF&E specification, purchasing and tracking using Esti, and support installations to ensure seamless execution on site. This position offers genuine scope for progression within a collaborative and ambitious team.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience within luxury residential interior design in London, with a portfolio that demonstrates refined, well-resolved and thoughtfully detailed work. You will be confident producing high-quality technical drawings independently and have a methodical understanding of the full design process, from concept to completion.
Proficiency in Vectorworks is ideal (AutoCAD users will be considered), with additional experience in SketchUp or similar software advantageous. Familiarity with Esti (Estimac) is highly desirable. You will bring strong organisational skills, the ability to manage time effectively and experience preparing tender documentation and schedules. Clear communication and a collaborative approach are fundamental, as you will be working closely with senior team members and engaging with clients and consultants. A sound knowledge of luxury suppliers, materials and specifications is expected, along with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
The studio is recognised for delivering refined, elegant interiors across exceptional private residences in London in some of the capital’s most prestigious neighbourhoods. With a considered, detail-driven approach and a reputation for quality, the team works across every stage of the design journey, creating timeless spaces that balance craftsmanship, comfort and architectural integrity.
Based in a bright studio in West London, the practice offers a supportive and collaborative culture, with strong mentoring from Senior Designers and clear pathways for professional growth. Studio hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm, with flexibility and early finishes on Fridays where workload allows. The team benefits from regular social events, industry networking opportunities and membership to leading property forums.
