Senior Designer role within an international retail design consultancy. 9-month fixed-term contract leading travel retail projects. Hybrid working: 1 day in the Soho studio, 4 days remote.
An established retail design consultancy is seeking a Senior Designer with strong technical expertise in Vectorworks to lead the production of design intent packages across a range of international travel retail projects. Working closely with the wider design and technical teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in translating design concepts into clear, well-coordinated technical documentation suitable for client presentation and project delivery.
The role will involve overseeing the preparation of drawing packages, ensuring consistency and accuracy across documentation, and supporting the delivery of complex retail environments within airport and travel retail settings.
This position is offering an immediate start and will cover maternity leave for the Director of Technical until the end of the year, with a view to transitioning into a full-time permanent role thereafter.
The studio is seeking a technically strong retail designer with around 10 years of experience working across similar project types and a proven ability to produce detailed drawing packages within a commercial design environment.
Candidates must be highly proficient in Vectorworks and confident producing accurate design intent documentation across multiple project phases. Experience within retail design is essential, with exposure to retail, F&B or airport environments considered highly advantageous.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of spatial planning, joinery detailing and retail fixture design, alongside the ability to coordinate information clearly with both internal teams and external consultants. A methodical approach to drawing standards, strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently within a remote working environment will be key to success in this role.

The team operates within a collaborative and flexible working culture. The studio follows a blended working model, with 1 day per week spent in their Soho studio on Thursdays and the remaining days working remotely.
