Head of Client Relationships
About the position
The Head of Client Development will lead business growth for our clients London studio, driving new opportunities across luxury residential, hospitality, and mixed-use sectors. Working closely with the Managing Director, Finance Director, Design Director, and international leadership team, the role focuses on developing and executing business development strategies, securing high-value projects, building key industry relationships, and supporting the studio’s long-term expansion across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. The position combines strategic planning, client engagement, market intelligence, commercial negotiations, and brand development within a design-led environment.
About the candidate
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, client relations, or commercial strategy within interior design, architecture, hospitality, luxury real estate, or related sectors.
- Proven track record of winning new business and developing high-value client relationships.
- Strong network across relevant industries, including developers, hotel operators, private clients, architects, consultants, and property professionals.
- Deep understanding of luxury residential, hospitality, and branded residential markets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience preparing proposals, capability presentations, tenders, and business development materials.
- Strong commercial awareness with negotiation and revenue-growth experience.
- Highly organised, proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams.
- Degree in Business, Interior Design, Architecture, Real Estate, Hospitality Management, or a related field (desirable).
- Experience working with international clients and projects, particularly across EMEA (desirable).
- Knowledge of design procurement, project delivery processes, CRM systems, and pipeline management tools (desirable).
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial instincts and strategic thinking.
- Passion for architecture, interiors, hospitality, and design.
- Professional, personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced creative environment.
