Midweight Interior Designer
About the position
We are looking for an exceptional Midweight Interior Designer to join a growing practice delivering high-end residential and luxury hospitality projects in the UK and internationally.
The role combines creative design, interior architecture and technical delivery, working closely with design teams, clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
Responsibilities include developing concepts; producing drawings, mood boards and material boards; developing 3D designs; sourcing bespoke materials and finishes; and designing joinery, lighting and carpets.
You will also support FF&E procurement, from budgets and tendering through to delivery and final dressing, alongside tender and detailed design, budget management and contractor liaison.
About the candidate
- 2–4 years’ job-running experience in the UK.
- Experience working on high-end residential, commercial or hospitality projects.
- Experience across both refurbishment and new-build projects.
- Strong understanding of bespoke and high-end finishes.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of quality.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Suite.
- Knowledge of UK building regulations, construction technology, UK planning policies and procurement methods.
- Strong creative and technical design capabilities.
- Good understanding of FF&E, including bespoke and off-the-shelf pieces, procurement, logistics and quality control.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Confident and effective communication skills, with the ability to work in a client-facing role.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Proactive approach with the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward.
- Ability to balance creative thinking with technical and project requirements.
