Senior Interior Designer
About the position
We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join a London design practice working across architecture and interiors. You will take responsibility for key parts of a project, developing design ideas into detailed, buildable solutions while working closely with the wider project team.
The role combines creative design, technical delivery and team coordination. You will help set the direction for your work, guide junior designers, present to clients and coordinate with consultants and contractors. You will also manage deadlines, review drawings and resolve design issues as projects progress through delivery and on site.
About the candidate
- Experience in a senior interior design role, with the ability to lead significant parts of a project
- Strong design judgement, from early concepts through detailed design and delivery
- Confident producing and reviewing technical drawings and construction details
- Good knowledge of materials, building regulations and coordination with structural and building services teams
- Experience guiding junior designers and organising work across a project team
- Comfortable presenting ideas to clients and communicating with external consultants
- Able to manage several priorities and keep work moving to programme
- Proficient in Revit, with working knowledge of SketchUp, Enscape and presentation software
- A collaborative approach and an interest in improving design and delivery processes
