Graduate Furniture Designer role within a leading London interior design studio, offering hands-on training and the opportunity to develop bespoke furniture for ultra high-end interior projects.
A rare opportunity for a Graduate Furniture Designer to join one of London’s most highly respected studios, working within their specialist furniture design team, which is considered a leader within the industry.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with up to 1 year of professional experience who is looking to develop their skills in bespoke furniture design.
Working closely with senior members of the furniture team, the successful candidate will initially support the design process through drawing amendments, schedules, and general design assistance across a range of high-end projects. This role offers exposure to the full lifecycle of bespoke furniture pieces, providing an understanding of how concepts are translated into technical drawings and ultimately realised in production.
The studio will provide structured training on their internal drawing standard, offering a strong foundation in both the technical and creative aspects of furniture design.
As experience develops, the role will gradually involve greater responsibility, including contributing to the design development of bespoke pieces and assisting with the creation of furniture concepts for luxury interior projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate to build a long-term career in bespoke furniture design within a collaborative and design-led studio.
The ideal candidate will have recently graduated with a degree in Furniture Design, Product Design, or a related discipline, or will have up to 1 year of relevant professional experience.
While the role is open to candidates at the beginning of their careers, it is essential that the individual demonstrates a proactive attitude, curiosity, and a genuine enthusiasm to learn. The studio is looking for someone who is motivated, engaged, and confident in asking questions in order to develop their skills.
You should be receptive to constructive feedback and able to apply guidance from senior designers to improve your work and technical understanding. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to take initiative will be key qualities for success in this position.
Some familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar modelling tools would be advantageous. An interest in materials, fabrication processes, and furniture detailing will also be highly valued.
Located in a desirable part of London, this fast-paced studio offers the opportunity to work on some of the highest levels of bespoke furniture and interior projects. Alongside this exposure, the studio provides the training and tools needed to support the development of your career as a designer.
The team promotes a balanced working culture with flexible start times, and the studio has a friendly and social environment where strong working relationships and friendships are formed, both in and out of the office.
