This design firm is in search of a Middleweight Interior Architect/Designer to join their team, focusing in high-end hotel projects. Renowned for crafting exceptional interiors, they approach each project with a completely new and fresh perspective, that is informed by team collaboration.
This role requires previous experience in hospitality or commercial interior projects in the luxury sector and demands a strong technical understanding of interior architecture. Responsibilities include developing concepts through mood boards, visuals, and detailed design packages. - Assist in analysing design objectives to align with client specifications
- Participate in generating creative design concepts in collaboration with the team
- Collaborate on room layouts, covering areas such as guest suites, lobby, bar, restaurants and amenities
- Contribute to the production of comprehensive drawing packs, encompassing plans and detailed design drawings, under senior guidance
- Apply technical knowledge in interior design, including joinery detailing and scheduling
- Utilise 3D modelling skills, particularly in SketchUp, with knowledge of rendering software as a benefit
- Coordinate with consultants and confidently produce tender documentation
- Extensive scheduling expertise for finishes, FF&E, lighting, sanitary ware, etc.
- Maintains open and ongoing communication with suppliers throughout the project lifecycle, actively researching pricing, sourcing, and lead times in a timely manner
- Guide and mentor junior designers and interns based on experience
- Right to work in the UK
- Degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design
- Track record in high-end hotel, hospitality, or large-scale commercial projects
- Strong understanding and experience in the luxury sector
- Extensive technical knowledge of interior design, including interior architecture, joinery detailing, and electrical requirements for tender documentation.
- Understanding of high-quality finishes, materials, and fabrics suitable for commercial applications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with rendering software like EnScape is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, capable of working independently or collaboratively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, proactive in task completion and meeting deadlines.
