Freelance FF&E Designers
About the position
A London interiors studio is seeking a Freelance Middleweight/Senior FF&E Designer to support a collection of private residential and hospitality projects. Working alongside the senior design team, you will shape the decorative direction of each scheme, creating layered interiors where furniture, lighting, textiles, art and objects come together with purpose.
This is a hands on role suited to someone who enjoys developing original ideas and seeing them realised. From early concepts and presentations through to sourcing, supplier coordination, installations and styling, you will play an integral part in bringing each project to life while working across multiple commissions at different stages.
About the candidate
The successful candidate will be an experienced FF&E Designer with a strong creative eye and the confidence to deliver projects with minimal supervision.
- 5+ years' experience delivering FF&E for luxury residential and/or hospitality projects.
- Strong understanding of furniture, lighting, fabrics, finishes and decorative accessories.
- Confident developing original FF&E concepts and presentation packages.
- Excellent technical ability in AutoCAD, producing bespoke joinery details, furniture layouts and interior elevations.
- Proficient in SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience preparing FF&E schedules, specifications and coordinating procurement.
- Comfortable liaising with suppliers, makers and contractors, while attending site and installations as required.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple live projects simultaneously.
About the studio
This London studio creates homes and hospitality spaces with a strong sense of character, where every project is shaped by its architecture, surroundings and the people who will use it. Rather than following trends, the team takes an individual approach to each commission, combining contemporary pieces with collected objects, natural materials and carefully curated finishes.
This contract offers 1 to 2 days working from home, with the flexibility to spend additional time in the studio as project requirements evolve.
