Senior Interior Designer
About the position
This established London-based interior architecture and design studio is seeking an experienced Project Lead to take ownership of some of the world's most prestigious hospitality projects. Working closely with the Directors and Chairman, you will lead projects from initial briefing and space planning through to detailed design, site coordination and installation.
As Project Lead, you will be responsible for driving the creative vision while managing and mentoring the wider design team, ensuring exceptional quality is maintained throughout every stage of the project. This is a highly client-facing role requiring regular presentations, consultant coordination and occasional international travel to support projects on site.
About the candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Project Lead with a proven background delivering large-scale luxury hospitality projects from concept through to installation. You will be confident leading multidisciplinary teams, presenting to clients, and driving the creative vision while ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical and design standards.
- Minimum 10 years' experience, predominantly within luxury hospitality interiors.
- Proven experience leading large-scale hospitality projects from concept through to installation.
- Strong space planning, zoning and building analysis skills.
- Advanced knowledge of building regulations and technical detailing.
- Experience producing and overseeing detailed interior architecture packages and specifications.
- Strong understanding of bespoke furniture, lighting, joinery and FF&E integration.
- Confident presenting to clients, consultants and leading design and site meetings.
- Experience reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs and supporting contractors through construction and installation.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to mentor and manage design teams.
- Comfortable travelling internationally when required.
- Proactive, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional design quality.
