Senior Interior Architect/Designer
About the position
Join a widely recognised design studio as a Senior Interior Architect / Interior Designer, delivering exceptional private residential, commercial residential and hospitality projects across the UK and internationally.
This is an opportunity to lead projects from concept through to installation, taking ownership of both interior architecture and design whilst working closely with senior leadership and a talented multidisciplinary team. The role offers significant responsibility, creative input and the opportunity to contribute to a portfolio of high-profile, design-led projects.
You will be responsible for developing design concepts, producing detailed drawing packages and coordinating consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards. Alongside project delivery, you will support and mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio culture.
The position would suit a confident and experienced designer who enjoys balancing creativity with technical delivery and takes pride in seeing projects realised on site. The role also offers opportunities to travel internationally for client meetings, site visits and project installations, providing valuable exposure to projects from concept through to completion.
About the candidate
An experienced and well-rounded designer, confident in leading projects and teams, with a strong balance of creative and technical expertise.
- 5+ years’ experience within interior design and/or architecture
- Degree qualified in Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related field
- Advanced AutoCAD skills, with the ability to produce and oversee detailed drawing packages to RIBA Stage 4+
- Proven experience delivering high-end residential, hospitality or development projects
- Strong design capability, with the confidence to develop and evolve concepts
- Excellent technical knowledge, including architectural and bespoke joinery detailing
- Experience leading projects across all stages, from concept through to completion
- Ability to mentor and support junior team members
- Confident presenting to clients and managing stakeholder relationships
- Experience coordinating consultants, contractors and wider project teams
- Strong site experience, including inspections, problem-solving and responding to RFIs
- Solid understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop essential)
- Working knowledge of SketchUp, Rhino, Revit or other 3D software is advantageous
- Strong understanding of materials, finishes, FF&E and supplier coordination
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Commercial awareness, with the ability to work within defined project budgets
