Associate Designer
About the position
This position is suited to an Associate Designer with a proven background in luxury residential and hospitality interiors. Joining a highly respected London design studio, you will lead exceptional projects from concept through to completion, combining creative design, technical delivery and FF&E with exceptional client relationships.
Working across multiple projects simultaneously, you will oversee every stage of the design process, acting as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants and contractors, whilst mentoring junior designers and supporting the wider leadership team.
About the candidate
You will be an accomplished Interior Architect or Interior Designer with experience delivering luxury residential and/or hospitality projects from concept through to completion. This role requires someone who is equally creative and technically capable, with the confidence to lead projects, build trusted client relationships and support the wider design team.
- Approximately 7–10 years' experience within a leading design practice.
- Proven experience working within a leading luxury interior design practice.
- Strong across concept design, interior architecture, technical detailing and FF&E.
- Confident leading projects through all RIBA Stages from concept to completion.
- Experience delivering projects with budgets from £1 million upwards.
- Exceptional client-facing, presentation and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of bespoke joinery, materials, finishes and construction detailing.
- Comfortable coordinating consultants, contractors, suppliers and specialist manufacturers.
- Experience mentoring junior designers and leading project teams.
- Excellent AutoCAD skills are essential, with SketchUp, Rhino, Revit or other 3D software considered advantageous.
- Highly organised, commercially aware and comfortable managing multiple high-value projects simultaneously.
