Middleweight Interior Designer
About the position
This position will see you working closely with senior designers and directors, supporting the development and delivery of interior design schemes from initial concept through to detailed design and installation.
You will contribute to the creative direction of projects, helping to maintain consistency in design intent while producing clear and well structured documentation. The role includes preparing presentation materials, developing detailed drawing packages and supporting the coordination of FF&E and interior architectural elements.
A strong level of organisation and attention to detail is required, alongside the ability to manage deadlines and maintain quality across multiple workstreams. You will also be involved in sourcing materials, finishes and suppliers, contributing to the ongoing development of internal design resources.
About the candidate
- 4 + years’ experience within hospitality, restaurant or high end residential design
- Confidence contributing across both concept development and technical delivery
- Experience producing presentation documentation and detailed drawing packages
- Strong understanding of FF&E, finishes and interior architectural elements
- Ability to source, specify and coordinate furniture, finishes and fittings
- Working knowledge of building regulations and practical design constraints
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite, with SketchUp advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
- A proactive approach, with the confidence to take ownership of tasks
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- A strong design sensibility across both contemporary and traditional styles
- A positive and adaptable attitude within a fast paced environment
