A growing design and build studio is seeking an Associate Designer or emerging Head of Design to lead the delivery of a range of CAT B landlord and tenant projects. You will oversee design from concept through to completion, including furniture, while working closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders. Initially, the role will focus on hands-on design delivery, creative oversight and client-facing responsibilities across live projects. There is a clear longer-term pathway to build and lead the design team as the studio expands. The successful candidate will also be encouraged to contribute to design innovation and future-focused thinking within the business.
You will be operating at Associate level or already in a Head of Design role within workplace or commercial interiors, ideally with design and build exposure. Highly client-facing and commercially aware, you will be confident presenting and selling design ideas, building strong relationships, and taking ownership of projects end to end.
A proactive, fast-paced approach is essential, alongside strong design judgement and the ambition to help shape and grow a team over time. You will be interested in contributing to wider design thinking and innovation within the studio, and comfortable supporting light networking alongside leadership where appropriate.
Strong proficiency in Revit is preferred, with an AutoCAD background desirable. Adobe InDesign skills are valued for pitch and presentation development. Additional software capabilities are welcomed.
