about the position

An international interior studio is seeking an FF&E Designer to contribute to high calibre residential projects in the UK and internationally.Working closely with Project Leaders and Interior Designers, you will support the development of furniture, lighting and decorative schemes across multiple stages of a project. The role involves researching and sourcing pieces, preparing FF&E documentation and contributing to the overall design narrative of each interior.

The studio works on large scale residential schemes with substantial FF&E budgets, often exceeding £5 million, allowing designers to source exceptional furniture, antiques and bespoke pieces alongside contemporary elements.

You will support the development of layered and thoughtful interiors while assisting with presentations, schedules, procurement coordination and installation.

This role would suit someone with a strong eye for detail who enjoys sourcing distinctive pieces and contributing to interiors that feel personal rather than trend driven.

about the candidate
  • 7+ years’ experience within FF&E or interior design
  • Experience working on high end residential or hospitality projects
  • Strong design sensibility with a clear point of view reflected in your portfolio
  • Ability to tailor designs to suit the architecture and character of each project
  • Experience sourcing furniture, lighting and decorative items, including antique or vintage pieces
  • Good understanding of materials, fabrics and product specifications
  • Experience preparing FF&E schedules and presentations
  • Has managed FF&E budgets that are circa 3 million + in value
  • Strong presentation skills using Adobe CS
  • AutoCAD knowledge is essential for producing bespoke joinery drawings and interior layouts
  • Curiosity and interest in drawing inspiration from history, architecture and everyday surroundings
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work closely with interior designers and consultants
