FF&E Designer with Procurement
About the position
An established international design studio is seeking an experienced FF&E Designer to join its London team. This role is suited to a highly creative and commercially minded designer with a strong background in luxury interiors and FF&E procurement. The successful candidate will lead FF&E design and procurement across a range of high-end residential, hospitality, workplace, gallery and development projects both in the UK and internationally.
The role will involve managing projects from concept through to installation, sourcing exceptional furniture, lighting, textiles, art, and decorative objects, with a particular focus on vintage, antique and bespoke pieces. The candidate will prepare FF&E schedules, specifications, budgets, mood boards and client presentations while overseeing procurement logistics, supplier coordination and installation processes.
Working closely with the architectural and design teams, the designer will contribute to integrated design solutions and bespoke furniture development. The position also offers the opportunity to support the growth of the studio’s FF&E division through supplier development, process improvement and business development initiatives.
About the candidate
- 6–8+ years’ experience in FF&E design and procurement, ideally within high-end residential projects
- Strong project management and procurement experience
- Excellent knowledge of both historical and contemporary furniture and decorative arts
- Proven experience sourcing vintage, antique and bespoke pieces
- Confidence presenting to and managing high-profile clients
- Experience using procurement and project management software such as Excel, Programa, Fohlio, EstiPC/EstiMac, or similar
- Basic CAD skills for space planning, ideally with ArchiCAD experience
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A proactive and solution-focused mindset
- Strong communication skills with a professional, discreet, and diplomatic approach
- Availability to attend client meetings and site visits across London
