Middleweight FF&E Designer
About the position
This is an exciting opportunity for a Middleweight FF&E Designer to join the founding team of a newly established London studio for an international architecture and interior design practice. Working across luxury hospitality projects, you will be responsible for developing and delivering FF&E schemes from concept through to installation, while supporting procurement and ensuring the design vision is carried through every stage of the project.
Working closely with the Directors, you will source and specify furniture, lighting, decorative finishes and accessories, prepare detailed specifications and sample presentations, produce furniture layouts, elevations and bespoke joinery drawings in AutoCAD, and liaise with suppliers, manufacturers and procurement teams to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard.
About the candidate
- 4+ years' experience within the luxury hospitality or hotel sector
- Experience gained at a similar calibre international design studio
- Strong FF&E design skills with an excellent eye for materials, finishes, furniture and detailing
- Experience sourcing, specifying and documenting bespoke and high-end FF&E
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, with the ability to produce furniture layouts, elevations and bespoke joinery drawings
- Experience supporting procurement, supplier liaison and reviewing shop drawings
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple packages and deadlines
- Positive, collaborative and solution-focused approach
- Excellent communication skills and confident liaising with suppliers, consultants and contractors
