About the position

You will join an existing team to work at RIBA Stages 1-3 of a highly anticipated mixed use/commercial project in Cambridge on a 3 month contract basis initially, with a view to extend pending performance and project pipeline. You will be producing information for presentations and planning submission in revit, focusing on layouts and space planning.

About the candidate

  • Qualified ARB registered architect from a design focused background with an excellent academic grounding
  • Experience working on mixed use/commercial projects for key clients at RIBA Stages 1-3, focusing on space planning
  • Strong design sensibilities with a considered, contextual, material led approach
  • Ability to clearly communicate design ideas and convey challenges and solutions with confidence
  • Proficiency in and practice experience with Revit is essential

    About the studio

    This is a prestigious architecture practice known for a minimalist design approach underpinned by use of light, proportions and material quality. Over decades, they have won awards for creating buildings that respond carefully to their surroundings rather than imposing a strong stylistic identity and they are now expanding with architects on a contract basis to help with immediate work load, although offer opportunities for extensions or permanent conversions for the right candidate. Their office is a peaceful open space across a single story with waterside views.
