Document Controller / Project Administrator (maternity cover)
About the position
Our client is looking for a highly organised Document Controller / Project Administrator to provide maternity cover, managing drawing and document control across multiple projects while supporting the wider design team with project and office administration. The role will ensure project information is accurately managed, uploaded, downloaded, issued and archived in line with client protocols, while working closely with designers, consultants and project teams. The role will also support FF&E documentation, project programmes, timesheets, reporting, archiving and general studio administration.
About the candidate
- Proven experience in document control and project administration, ideally within architecture, interior design, construction, engineering or a similar environment.
- Strong understanding of revision control, transmittals, document numbering and audit trails.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Confident working to client-specific protocols and document control procedures.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with designers, consultants and project teams.
- Comfortable providing wider project and administrative support when required.
- Required software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Aconex and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Desirable: Newforma, MicroStation, BOX, Dropbox, SpecDesigner, timesheet/time management systems and WeTransfer.
About the studio
A design-focused Central London studio working across multiple projects, where accurate information management and strong project administration are essential to the smooth running of the practice. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider design team, supporting project delivery and ensuring documentation is consistently organised, accurate and compliant with client requirements.
