Senior Interior Designer - Client Side
About the position
We are looking for a talented and ambitious Interior Designer to join a design-led, real estate business with a diverse portfolio across hospitality, PBSA and shared living. Reporting to the Development Director, you will act as a key design interface across Development, Projects, Commercial and Operations, helping to deliver high-quality interiors from concept through to completion.
You will combine strong creative vision with commercial and technical awareness, working with external designers, specialist consultants, operators and international hospitality brands. The role covers concept development, brand approvals, FF&E, specification, procurement, value engineering, construction support and final styling, with a focus on creating distinctive environments that enhance guest and resident experience.
About the candidate
- Degree-qualified in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
- 5–8 years' post-qualification experience, including at least three years in hotel or hospitality projects.
- Proven experience delivering projects from concept through construction to opening.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating concept development, brand-led design and delivered work.
- Strong understanding of hospitality brand standards and approval processes.
- Experience with FF&E specifications, schedules and budgets.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to balance design ambition, budget, programme and procurement.
- Good technical understanding of fire performance, accessibility, slip resistance and acoustics.
- Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to operators, brands and senior stakeholders.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple workstreams.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with Enscape, Twinmotion or V-Ray.
- Design-led, detail-oriented, pragmatic and solutions-focused.
- PBSA, build-to-rent, shared living or refurbishment experience would be advantageous.
- Experience with international hospitality, luxury or lifestyle brands would be advantageous.
